Hello Guys, Today I am going to tell you about Whatsapp new Security feature i.e, Fingerprint Lock

Whatsapp has added the new security feature to the Android app. The company made this feature available in iOS in February this year. With this feature, iOS users can keep their data safe by using the biometric unlock feature in their app. Now this feature has also become available in Android. iPhone users can now use Face ID or Touch ID as per their phone features. Whatsapp has now brought this feature in its Android app after about 7 months.

Android smartphone users who are using Whatsapp Beta can use this feature from fingerprint sensors for the app on their smartphones. If you are a beta user of Whatsapp Android app, then you can use this feature by updating to the latest version 2.19.3 of the beta app. After updating the app, you will need to follow these steps to use fingerprint unlock in your app:

Steps to enable this security feature -

- Open the app and click on the 3 dots menu.

- Then tap on Settings and tap on Account.

- Tap on the privacy option in the account settings.

- Scroll down and go to fingerprint unlock option. This option will be by default off.

- Tap on this option and switch on.

- Whastapp will then ask you to touch the fingerprint sensor.

- After this, Whatsapp will ask you how long you want to keep the phone off. You can choose between 1 minute or 30 minutes option.

- After this, you will also have the option to turn the 'Show content in notifications' button on and off. With this, you will be able to manage whether you get notifications in the window or not.

This feature of Whatsapp took a long time to reach the users. The feature reached iOS users after several months of leaks and news. After getting this feature from iOS users, it also took a long time to reach Android. Users have been waiting for this feature of Whatsapp for a long time. Now, when this feature has arrived in Android beta, we expect that it will be made available soon in the stable version as well.
